Target Audience

New York State primary care and family practice physicians, obstetricians/gynecologists, pediatricians and psychiatrists; as well as, psychologists, nursing professionals, social workers, residents, and mental health clinicians working with primary care, pediatric or ob/gyn practices.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants will learn how to:  

1. Discuss the evidence for the role of neuroactive steroids in the pathophysiology of perinatal depression.

2. Summarize the clinical trial efficacy and safety data for brexanolone and zuranolone.

3. Compare and contrast current pharmacotherapy approaches in perinatal depression
