Target Audience
New York State primary care and family practice physicians, obstetricians/gynecologists, pediatricians and psychiatrists; as well as, psychologists, nursing professionals, social workers, residents, and mental health clinicians working with primary care, pediatric or ob/gyn practices.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will learn how to:
- Differentiate clinical anxiety disorders in pregnancy and postpartum from typical anxiety/worry in pregnancy and postpartum
- Understand the risks of untreated anxiety in the perinatal time
- Describe treatment options including both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for anxiety in the perinatal period.
